Ultrasonic spray dryer
makes micron particles using
Sonaer's ultrasonic atomizer nozzles

Ultrasonic
Spray Dryer Advantages
Size of particle
The big difference between
conventional spray dryer as compared to the ultrasonic method is a much
smaller particle size by use of ultrasonic nozzle. In our web site the
sonic nozzle can generate as low as 10 micron particle size and
smaller, where normal nozzles have holes size around 0.5 mm The
particle size from normal nozzles has a range between 100 to 200 micron
. Ultrasonic nozzles make finer particle and result in quicker better
drying. Since the particle size is greater for conventional nozzles,
the large surface area does not allow particle to dry efficiently. The
small particle size from our ultrasonic nozzles make for the best most
efficient drying. . Another important aspect of using ultrasonic
atomizer nozzle is for lower heat energy / temperature due to the
smaller size.
The
control
For the spray dryer machine that
upgraded from normal nozzle to sonic, Sonaer will include PC control
system. The spray dryer upgrade will use PC control program that is
user friendly. Normally, spray dryer do not have such control due to
the nozzle using compress dry air, resulting in very difficult control.
Sonaer ultrasonic atomizer nozzles ultrasonic can be control easily.
Additional controls will be for heater, exhaust, fluid pump and safety
system.
High end
research
Biotechnology is evolving very
rapidly and ultrasonics can be used for nano particle size materials.
Spray drying using Sonaer's ultrasonic atomizer nozzle is another way
to produce nano size particles. Another attribute for using ultrasonic
atomizer nozzle, is biotech materials need to be made at lower
temperatures.
